Matt:

As usual, wise words from philosopher / loveable mascot / dirty fucken plumber Mario of Nazareth.
Kansas City allowed 183 yards and a touchdown last week to a Los Angeles Chargers squad that ranks somewhere on the sports pundit trope scale between “frisky” and “lowly”. On the other hand, Baltimore ran for 230 yards and a touchdown vs Houston last week, and have a proven, established running attack that is inarguably the strongest in the entire NFL. This Baltimore team aint your daddy’s something something, pound the rock, win in the battle in the trenches, et cetera.
At this exact moment, in September of 2020, I think Baltimore is the slightly better football team. I don’t love Clyde Edwards-Helaire going up against the league’s best rush defense in his third NFL game. I don’t love Mahomes and an aerial attack that hasn’t all-the-way clicked this year vs the league’s best defense. It may look different if they play in January, but give me Baltimore to win and cover.
Baltimore controls the tempo, their pass rush gets to Mahomes and puts him on the ground a few times, and the Ravens win a good game, 34-24-ish.
Matt’s Pick: Baltimore to win and cover -3.5
Fleet: Hot take of the season right here: I predict Mahomes will have his worst game as a professional. It will still be better than half of the QBs in the league. Ravens win.
Fleet’s Pick: Baltimore
